Take Me and Make Me Beautiful

I absolutely love taking an old piece of furniture that is a bit plain Jane and turning it into something more gorgeous to look at.
Here is the first piece I transformed from this
To this...
It took me about a week to complete and was one of those projects I got half way through and wished I hadn't started! But once it was done... Boy was I proud as punch! I went to B&Q and helped myself to plenty of wall paper free samples, which I then used to cover alternating drawers, painted the rest and made the knobs all colourful. And I think it's B-E-A-UTIFUL! But my best work was yet to come!

My next project was a smaller bedside table. and I love this one even more. Yet again I wished I hadn't started when cutting out the cherry blossom branches made me almost lose my mind!
Here it is! Painted the same blue as before but with cherry blossom climbing up the front. I beam with pride at the sight of it and gladly keep all my hair, makeup and nail stuff in it. Well worth the week it took to complete.
I have a big double wardrobe that needs a new lease of life. At the moment I daren't start it although these two pieces do make me want to work some magic on it.
:)
